rove

Today was a very snoozey day, thus the lack of picture uploads and blogging. We had a 9-10 hour drive that faced us this morning after a very late, but good night at Old Ironsides.

The tour really picked up speed last night as we shared the bill with 3 other acts, two Sacramento bands (Tough Luxury & Black Tar Caviar) and one from Long Beach (Repeater). It was a night of cool tunes and a cheerful, supportive and sometimes dance-tastic crowd.
We stayed with Mikey's family last night and they treated us like royalty. We were fed SO incredibly well. They all came out to the show, it was their first time seeing Mikey play bass. He did awesome as did Astra and Tim. We were finally able to see a glimpse of another thriving music community. The other bands were in awe of Timmy's cajon.

I drove the RV for the first time last night, not to shabby if I do say so myself. I took the morning shift as well and the scenery was beautiful. We just had an awesome pot roast dinner that we pre-cooked at Mikey's house. Our belly's are full, we are somewhat well rested (yeah right) and ready to rock Portland. Lots of friends coming out to the show tonight including my old roomie from college Tracy, our hair dresser friends Becky and Sydney, and my family friend Kyle!
